Confidentiality

• Your personally identifiable information, together with any information you provide us regarding your criminal or family law situation is treated with the utmost confidentiality.
• This information will not be used or disclosed or used except as necessary to provide services to you, to enforce the terms of service or as necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of Macedone Legal. We consider ourselves bound by and must comply with the Privacy Act 1988 and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act.

Your obligations and responsibilities:

To take precautions to guard against ‘malware’ (viruses, Trojan horses, bots, etc) for example by installing and updating suitable anti-virus software.

We use non-personally identifiable information to analyse site usage and improve services, such as information on the pages visited, click-throughs etc. We use personally identifiable information to contact you and respond to your enquiry. Any information provided will be shared within the Macedone Legal office. We will not contact you about other matters unless requested. We will not share, sell or rent your personally identifiable information outside Macedone Legal. It is possible, although unlikely, that Macedone Legal may be required to disclose personally identifiable information in relation to a legal matter or when we believe the law requires it e.g. law enforcement agency request, subpoena, court order response etc. Macedone Legal cannot guarantee that any personally identifiable information provided over the web may not be collected in transit by others including but not limited to contractors providing services to Macedone Legal.

If you do provide us with personally identifiable information we will:

• Take commercially reasonable precautions to protect the information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.
• Not use or disclose the information except as necessary to provide services to you, as necessary to enforce the terms of service or as necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of Macedone Legal, its users or others.
